The Christmas Tag

Monday, 5 December 2016

We're nearly a week into December and things are getting jolly festive! I've finally put up the Christmas tree, I've got presents I've ordered for people arriving left, right and centre and we're starting to discuss the food we need to stock up the fridge with (cheese and more cheese, please)

It's all very exciting! SO, to top it all off, a very happy thank you to the lovely Rebecca for including me in the Christmas Tag! This was really fun to do, so I hope you like it. Don't forget to check out the blogs of the ladies I have tagged below.

1. Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie(s)?
'A Christmas Story' - this is such a nostalgic film for me as we used to watch it as a family every Christmas Eve without fail.  If you haven't heard of it, the story is about a little boy called Ralphie who desperately wants a Red Ryder Air Rifle for Christmas. It's a fantastically light-hearted film, and one I think everyone should watch at least once. You'll shoot your eye out!

2. What Are Your Favorite Christmas Colors?
I love whites and golds. Our family home was already decorated in very bright, 1970-inspired foil decorations, boasting reds and greens... Now I have my own home, I prefer a bit more of a subtle look!

3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?
When I lived in the family home, Christmas morning would be spent in pyjamas, until you managed to get your turn in the bathroom (Mum would spend about two hours getting herself glammed up) but then of course it's all about the Christmas dress!

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be?
Ah, I'm so bloody skint this is probably going to end up a reality! Probably my Dad - he would tell me off for buying him something, and it would probably end up staying in the back of his car for six months, but out of everyone, he's the person that would appreciate the gesture.

5. Do You Open Your Presents Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?
Traditionally, we open our stockings in the morning and then we are allowed to open one present from underneath the tree, the rest of our presents aren't allowed to be opened until after lunchtime! Living with Ben, I've sort of kept this tradition going, we open stockings with breakfast and then open presents from each other. It's very strange moving away from your own family traditions and combining them with someone else's, but also very lovely to know that we are starting our own little Christmas rituals!

6. Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?
I have not, and unless it comes with gingerbread scaffolding, I probably won't.

7. What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?
HAHAH, Christmas break? What's one of those?

8. Any Christmas Wishes?
I have no Christmas Wishes as such, but I am very much looking forward to this year ending and moving into 2017 with a positive attitude and fingers firmly crossed for the months to come.

9. Favorite Christmas Smell?
Anything spicy - of course! I have a home air freshener at the moment which is mulled wine and cinammon, it's bloody lovely.

10. Favorite Christmas Meal Or Treat?
You can't beat a good 'ole Christmas dinner, can you? But the next best thing is in the evening, when the cheese and biscuits are brought out with other Christmas-themed savoury treats. It's the only day of the whole year where you will gorge out on the biggest dinner, but somehow still find room for an additional evening feast.

I nominate these beautiful girlies:
